Built on a business partnering mindset of providing world-class support services, IT SSC aims to enhance shareholder values through the concept of standardization, consolidation and optimization of IT resources within the Group.

IT SSC with its centre of excellence provides IT support services to most of Sunway Group’s IT Projects. IT units within the various industries of Sunway Group consolidated into IT SSC today include construction, building material, manufacturing, trading, risk management, credit leasing and group functions such as human resource, finance, procurement, management and others.

  • Provide support on solution design as required (conceptual and design architectural).
  • Support applications development and evaluation initiatives.
  • Support major / complex modifications to current applications in close consultation with superiors.
  • Undertake minor modifications to enhance the functionality of current applications.
  • Ensure service desk support on application services are effectively met .
  • Support 1st and 2nd level service desk team members effectively .
  • Escalate to the next level of support where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade application design to meet user changes and the Group’s needs.
  • Work with software vendors on all product updates, upgrades and problems.
  • Knowledge management – to undertake role as “point persons” as designated by the Head - experts in various development skill and specialized fields, and share expertise across the team.
  • To provide with the best of your ability to team members and/or customers.
  • To provide services by disseminating appropriate training to customers and Group.
  • To provide services by updating the Project Director and/or Project Manager on status & issues in respect of the project assignment undertaken.
  • To provide a comprehensive documentation or manual to record details of development works rendered during the services.
  • To provide consulting services to the customers, conduct user requirement studies and prepare proposal as and when required.
  • To treat companies’ information and material as private & confidential and shall not at any time during or after the services, for any reason whatsoever disclose or permit to disclose to any person, or otherwise make use of or permit to be made use of any information and material relating to the companies’ technology, technical process, business affairs or finances.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent.
  • Possess at least 1 year of demonstrated experience in ERP application support.
  • Candidate with JD Edwards software experience & Accounting knowledge will have an added advantage.
  • Good communication, problem solving skills and analytical mind.
  • Fast learner with the ability to work in a team at highly pressure environment is preferred.
