  • Assist in achieving lowest Total End Cost for general procurement commodity areas which encompasses sourcing strategies and recommendations for general procurement commodities both for new suppliers, and for improving existing arrangements.
  • Optimize supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership.
  • Identifying and selecting relevant vendors to achieve price reductions without compromising commodity quality or service.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and improve On Time Delivery performance, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between division, business units and their suppliers.
  • A recognized Diploma in Finance or Business Administration or a professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience in a similar capacity from a Hotel/Hospitality industry.
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
  • Pleasant disposition and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive work attitude, high level of integrity and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of Procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralized purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law.
  • Possess a good sense of negotiation skills.
  • Strong PC skills, especially in Microsoft Words, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry would be an added advantage.
