  • The incumbent will be based in Academic Quality Department. His/her responsibilities include:
  • Playing a key leadership and advisory role in overseeing the maintenance of academic quality across the University and advising the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on academic and education policy and procedures and on strategies to improve and enhance academic standards and academic quality
  • Providing leadership to the Academic Quality and Teaching and Learning teams towards excellence and best practices in academic quality assurance and teaching and learning development
  • Planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating internal processes relating to the quality enhancement of Sunway University programmes, as well as ensuring that academic standards are met and policies and processes are followed
  • Strategic planning for curriculum and course development, and ensuring that internal processes and procedures meet the quality assurance requirements of MQA and validating partner institutions
  • Overseeing the publication of the University’s academic regulations and student handbooks as well as participate in the development of the University’s Education Policy, and academic policies and procedures at the University level
  • Participating and contributing in various Boards and Committees
  • Must possess a recognised degree, preferably postgraduate degree in the area of educational management or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in education industry
  • Able to plan strategically and take initiative in policy formulation and implementation
  • A high level of professionalism and commitment, with positive attitude, high integrity and ethical standards is an essential prerequisite for this position
  • Must be a dynamic, self-driven and result-oriented person, with initiative and a passion for service excellence
  • Possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
