Essential Relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Strong computer skills to manage the on-line job portal and careers website, including demonstrated ability and skills to use various software packages, mainly Microsoft Office packages and other information databases Well developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gain the co-operation and assistance of others in the performance of supervisor-defined tasks Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently High level of administrative and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise competing demands and meeting deadlines Proven analytical skills and problem solving skills Good general knowledge of a university environment and relevant processes and procedures
Desirable Demonstrated experience in liaising with employers Knowledge of current recruitment/employment trends, practices and skills sought

Website and online job portal administration Provide current, relevant, accessible online careers education and advice Monitor and report on student and employer use of the online job portal Administer the Employment and Career Development Website according to MUSC website standards Administer the online job portal and provide approval for jobs to be advertised Maintain data integrity through regular database maintenance and updating Undertake trouble shooting of the system Provide first line user support for online job portal problems Develop close links with the administrators of the online job portal at Monash University Australia for support and system knowledge Promote the job portal to students and employers through marketing campaigns
External liaison and marketing
Improve MUSC graduate employment outcomes through employer liaison Assist with marketing and promoting the Employment and Career Development services to employers (local and international) Obtain employer participation in activities to maximise recruitment of MUSC graduates Ensure the consistent promotion of the Employment and Careers services to employers in accordance with the annual plan Help facilitate the link between the academic fraternity and employers to enhance graduate recruitment opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships and rapport with major employer groups so as to maximise numbers of employers recruiting on campus thereby increasing the employability of MUSC graduates Maintain and enhance the existing database of employers Contribute to the creation and dissemination of promotional materials aimed at encouraging employers to list job vacancies with the employment service
Careers services and education
Provide students with general careers advice and information to improve MUSC graduate employment outcomes Establish appropriate careers and employment information networks with key staff in schools, and student groups Assist with design, delivery and evaluation of employment and careers workshops, seminars, programs and fairs including through working collaboratively with schools and student organisations Assist in administering any career related surveys/questionnaires for the continuous improvement of the careers service (including the university’s Employer Survey) Produce careers and employment materials as required Liaise with Education Managers, Course Managers and student associations to promote opportunities for vacation/voluntary and graduate employment by establishing links and appropriate information networks with key staff in schools, student groups, etc
Contribution to strategic partnerships and relationships
Develop and maintain a synergy of partnerships with all other departments/schools of the Sunway campus and relevant staff at the Australian campuses to manage issues that require a cross cultural organisational perspective and responses Liaise with students, staff and all other internal and external stakeholders to maintain up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of careers support services, relevant careers programs and activities available in order to successfully utilise existing resources and services Participate in and contribute knowledge through involvement in committees or working groups and special projects, as required Contribute to the continual improvement of operational processes, systems and guidelines to meet the needs of students, employers, and other stakeholders
