  • Assist the F&B Manager in organizing, supervising and directing detailed work of the convention and catering services, banquet and audio visual department.
  • Provides functional assistance and direction to all Convention and Catering Services staff.
  • Conducts essential training for the service staff to be able to carry banquet operations effectively.
  • Reinforce and maintain good relations with existing and prospective accounts.
  • Ensures that all functions are properly billed, signed and entered into the Micros systems for proper accounting purposes.
  • Assists in the formulation of the hotel's marketing plan.
  • Ensures the well maintenance of the banquet equipments.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing stock of the bar and an up to date stock requirement.
  • To update the accounting department on estimated amount for payout of the casual staff.
  • Responsible for the monthly communication meetings for Banquet Staff and the weekly staff training.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in the Banquet Operations of a deluxe Hotel.
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Pleasant disposition with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive work attitude, pleasant appearance and excellent grooming standards, punctual, reliable, honest, responsible and must be willing to work on shifts.
