Manage, communicate and meet responsibilities with a clear strategic view of the unit’s functions in the specific context of the Campus Operational Plan.

  • Develop and maintain content for the Advancement unit’s web site to ensure that the information in it is up to date and accurate and is in-line with web style and editorial style guidelines.
  • Under broad direction, project manage, design, and build campaign websites in accordance to the campus’ CMS.
  • Use the database for email marketing campaigns including sending eNewsletters, eDMs etc
  • Coordinate the extension of marketing campaigns on online mediums such as creating promotional sites on the MUSC webpage, web advertisements, creating facebook events, tweets and on other online mediums.
  • Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, and seeding content into social applications as and when needed.
  • Continuously develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications.

    Report professionally key responsibilities and activities, and on the quality of those activities, in relation to the unit’s responsibilities

  • Use site metrics tools to track site traffic, performance, page views and list of updated links and include it into the monthly Marketing Report under the online sub-section.
  • Provide regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring into the Marketing and Media, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion

    Manage successfully through the systematic development and following of policies, procedures and business rules and without routinely referring matters to senior management

  • Maintain and adhere to the information architecture and branding guidelines as stipulated by the web governance documentations of the campus.
  • Coordinate with the relevant internal stakeholders to source for accurate information and communication to entries and queries on social media sites such as Facebook, in a timely manner.
  • Liaison with external parties such as web designers to develop and deliver materials in accordance to deadlines set.

    Maintain an effective and accurate website.

  • Managing the individual unit sites content within the Advancement website accurately and on a timely manner i.e. updating events page, correcting broken links etc.
  • Use website development tools to ensure that the website is easy to navigated and ultimately create a seamless user experience.
  • Keep up-to-date of latest web trends and standards

    Cooperate effectively with schools and other units of the campus, and with the relevant units in Australia.

  • Be on consistent contact with MUA to ensure that the University level online and web strategies are aligned.
  • Provide and ensure seamless services through cooperation with Schools/Units for web and marketing research activity.

  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Communication and Information Technology or other relevant discipline and at least 3 years work experience in the areas of communication, online marketing and social media.
  • Demonstrated sound writing and web-editing skills and experience in online publications.
  • An advanced working knowledge of, and experience in, the development of online communications.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan workload, prioritise tasks, attend accurately to detail and to follow tasks through to completion.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently under broad direction.
  • Experience working with FTP software and uploading/downloading of files
  • Ability to accurately document set processes and procedures

  • Experience working with the website, online portal and social media management of an education institution.
