  Responsibilities
 
Responsibilities :

- Overall management, operations and control of full spectrum of accounting processes and functions within the Sunway Technology Group of companies.
- Financial Management and Financial Reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly management reporting.
- Ensure accounts prepared are in compliance with accounting standards and practices.
- Perform relevant analytical review on monthly management reports, highlight and advise management of matters with significant financial impact on company performance.
- Plan and liaise with external auditors’ on conformity of accounting practices/ procedures as well as for timely completion of year end statutory audits.
- Liaise with tax agents to ensure proper tax planning and compliance on tax matters
- Attend to senior management, auditors, tax agents or other authorities’ queries on financial matters.
- Ensure business continuity and regulatory responsibility by adherence to all laws, statutes, regulations of Malaysia such as Company Act, local municipal regulations and Malaysia Accounting Standard Board.
- Keep abreast with economy / market forces and plan/liaise with HOD and other operational managers in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor company’s financial performance versus business plan targets and forecasts.
- Monitor and ensure fiscal year budget allocations are spent in a prudent and cost effective manner; and ensure adequate returns on investment of capital expenditure.
- Advise senior management on financial implications of key operational decisions.
- Periodical financial reporting to EXCO or senior management.
- Other ad-hoc assignments as requested by senior management such as corporate exercise, project financing and gathering information for merchant bankers, specific reports at management request, etc.
- Cost control and internal control procedures.
- Develop and implement financial & operational controls and all relevant policies and procedures for the Company.
- Formulate & implement cost control measures, particularly with respect to project costing.
- Perform periodical reviews on significant business activities within company operation and monitor on key risk issues identified.
- Develop appropriate KPIs to measure performance of the company.
- Review & enhance work processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls and staff productivity.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and investment analysis on proposed new projects.
- Treasury Management, Cash Flow/Credit Facilities Management.
- Ensure adequate cash flow & bank facilities for business operating needs.
- Review and plan monthly cash flow requirement via monitoring of company’s collections, payments and availability of funds.
- Hold monthly collection meeting and monitor on trade debtors collection.
- Source for facilities on new project financing and capital expenditure financing.
- Establish banking relationship & contacts.
- Oversee and manage matters pertaining to office administration
- Ensure adequate staffing and smooth running of accounting functions
- Direct supervision, provide guidance and monitor staff performance
- Plan and review training needs for accounting staff
- Assist her superior in all other finance related matters and any other duties as and when assigned.
 
  Requirements
 
Requirements :

- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Commerce or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) - 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field, inclusive of experience in a commercial company and/or audit firm is required for this position.
- MS Office skills is a MUST (especially in Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Hardworking and independant, willing to learn, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, able to multi-task.
- Good communication and organisation skills as there will be a need to liaise with and gather information from various business units within the group.
