  Responsibilities
 
  • To efficiently use and manage function space to achieve maximum revenue and profitability.
  • To solicit from and confirm with clients all information pertaining to the event they are planning, and to organize and disseminate this information to all departments through approved methods of communications such as event orders, change orders, conference resumes, rooming list, in a professional and timely manner.
  • To initiate billing procedures to ensure that the hotel deals with creditable clientele as well as ensuring deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame as stipulated in the Quality of Services Standard (QSS).
  • To ensure that terms stipulated in contracts are met to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize profits for rooms and food & beverage
  • To implement creative alternatives to generate new business i.e. telemarketing, target marketing and joint programs with Sales Department
  • To ensure that all function spaces are maintained at excellent condition at all times
  • To confirm and follow up on all conference details with clients before passing on responsibilities to the operations team.
 
  Requirements
 
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in Hotel Catering, additional experience in the hospitality industry i.e. Sales, is an asset.
  • Diploma in business, marketing, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge in any Chinese dialects will be an added advantage.
  • Extensive food & beverage knowledge and proven ability to plan and execute events effectively with a strong sense of detail.
  • Pleasant personality and immaculately groomed.
