  Responsibilities
 
  • To oversee the general operation, cleanliness and areas in the Housekeeping Department under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper.
  • To ensure the profitability of the Department for short, medium and long term by assuming the total responsibility of the functions assigned with a special emphasis on increasing workload, reduce expenditure, preserve and maintain the assets.
  • To conduct regular performance appraisals and goals setting for the staff in the department.
  • To establish specific training programs to improve the efficiency of the staff in order to achieve the highest level of motivation and commitment.
  • To assist the Executive Housekeeper in establishing an efficient Housekeeping system and ensure that they are in accordance with the Hotel’s Quality Service Standards.
 
  Requirements
 
  • A minimum of Diploma in Hotel Management or any other related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience as an Assistant Housekeeper in a 5-star Hotel.
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Posses strong character and good leadership skills in managing subordinates.
  • Knowledgeable in operation matters of Rooms and Public Areas, housekeeping inventories, equipments and chemicals usage.
  • Pays attention to details, posses good discipline and excellent work conduct.
  • A team player and able to work under pressure, in a fast paced environment to ensure the operations of the Department run smoothly and effectively.
