  Responsibilities
 
  • The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef.
  • Responsible to work with all concerned in the daily preparation of mise-en-place and to ensure minimal turnaround time for replenishment of food items of the buffet spread.
  • Assist the Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef in the supervision and co-ordination of all activities of the kitchen.
  • Assist in the checking of the daily menus and function sheets to determine the type and quantity of food items to prepare.
  • Co-operate with the Sous Chef in maintaining the food cost of the kitchen.
  • Performs duties common to a Team Leader and any other duties as and when assigned.
 
  Requirements
 
  • Minimum SPM qualification or a recognized Diploma in Culinary.
  • Preferably with two (2) years working experience in a Western / Coffee House Kitchen.
  • Able to communicate well in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Must possess a strong interest in western / local food preparation.
  • Must be willing to work on shift.
