For our newly expanded facilities, we are seeking suitably qualified candidates to be part of our dynamic team in the following role :-
 
  Responsibilities
 
  • Manage the pharmacy store operations and resources efficiently and effectively to ensure sufficient inventory is consistently available while maintaining a healthy inventory holding.
  • Implement daily and weekly plans and forecast of operations workload based on accurate assessment of the supply requisition needs, available inventory and alternative stocks; evaluate and initiate action to rotate stocks to faster moving location or exchange with vendors.
  • Collaborate with other department members outside the unit to continuously improve and timely fulfill requisite pharmacy supplies throughout the hospital and off-site operations.
  • Manage the update and adjustment of par level changes based on analysis reports from Corporate Planning department and the creation of item codes.
  • Enforce the prescribed procedure for stock take to be adhered to by pharmacy store team. Initiate investigation for stock take variance and report for stock take conducted.
  • Lead in the coordination of product recall exercise from pharmacy department and other locations and work with vendors to provide alternative stocks or products to minimize interruption to patient drug treatment plans.
  • Propose and submit capital and operational expenses, company stock holding reports, department projects and initiatives within budget and timeline targets.
  • Evaluate storage space requirement and utilization, equipment / items / information system and other department resources relating to storage and supply management to enhance decision-making on changes required to support operations.
  • Lead and engage employees to meet and exceed performance standards.
 
  Requirements
 
  • Possess a recognized Degree in Pharmacy preferably with additional qualifications in supply chain or equivalent technical knowledge and know-how acquired on-the-job. Has training, education and practical application of general management discipline.
  • Generally would have acquired up 10 years of working experience as a practicing pharmacist, with up to 5 years at an increasingly responsible executive level position in pharmacy inventory management in a hospital or pharmaceutical product distributor. Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, inventory and delivery processes, staffing and budgeting.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare and Pharmacy related Acts, regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Working experience in managing store personnel and managing operations effectively.
  • Possess most of the management capabilities and leadership qualities, at the desired level of competence. Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical competence required for the job eg. ability to translate complex technical or technological input for operational application.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities and behaviors necessary to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external parties.
  • A competent license holder for Pharmacy store.
