Responsibilities

• The Associate/Video Editor is completely responsible for the production quality of all videos that goes on web apps and mobile.
• He/She has to ensure that all edits are delivered to deadlines & the quality standards defined by the department.
• He/She has to work closely with the editorial team on production and operations team of Digital wing, to ensure that all video are uploaded correctly.
• The Video Editor may also be required to perform other technical & production functions at certain times in a multi-tasking environment.
• He/She needs to edit visuals, stories, packages for bulletins and non-bulletin programmes to set deadlines.
• To ensure that quality of visual edits for packages are delivered to broadcast standards.
• To work & deliver according to Approved Workflows/Standard Operating Procedures & Standard Workflow Procedures.
• To produce best quality visual edits within budget.
• He / She needs to assist & support editorial teams of bulletin & non-bulletin shows in terms of visuals/edits and all other materials.
Requirements

• The Video Editor must have excellent time management. He/She must understand the urgency attached to LIVE programming & must be able to deliver good quality edits under pressure every day.
• He/She also has to be a good team player to work closely everyday with the editorial teams of both bulletin & non-bulletin to produce quality edits for shows. He/She also has to work closely with the studio director & PCR crew to ensure the smooth transmission of programmes at all times.
• Degree/Diploma in related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in non-linear systems, preferably AVID/FCP.
• Timely ability to deliver good quality edits under pressure.
• Keen interest & understanding of news & current affairs.
• Bilingual fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Good knowledge of latest TV & broadcast technology.
• Meticulous & methodical.
• Good team player.
