The AVP will be in charge of overall creation and management of metadata of the VOD service and integration with the overall metadata for content on the platform including the back end processes for the entry and storage of metadata.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring provision of accurate and useful metadata (title, synopsis, graphics, trailers, etc) to promote the VOD content.

  • Coordinate and manage the weekly programming process for VOD, managing databases.

  • Coordinate the scheduling/programming of all other On Demand features and future VOD products.

  • Communicate with content supplier to acquire materials and metadata, coordinate monthly

  • programming initiatives.
  • Ensuring all content offerings have complete metadata, covering titles, posters, synopsis, trailers, etc to promote the content.

  • Ensuring seamless operations in delivery of VOD services to customers by working closely with Content Group, Technology and Broadcast divisions, Information Technology (IT) division and Customer Group.

  • Working closely with Broadcast and Operations Division as well as Technology Division to ensure relevant and accurate metadata is made available on timely basis.

  • Overseeing and training staff to ensure high level of proficiency.

  • Adequate supervision and coaching of staff to ensure staff are always motivated to perform at their highest level and given the opportunity to improve their knowledge and expertise.


  • Bachelor's degree of equivalent or better qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Management, or related fields.

  • 8 to 10 years of experience and inclusive of 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, editing and publishing of metadata, with demonstrable expertise/ experience in the broadcast/ media/ entertainment sector

  • Good understanding of broadcasting technology and digital rights management.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and skills in preparing concise, informative, and objective-driven presentations and reports.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate with others in a team environment.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to initiate, prioritize and complete diverse tasks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - at ease communicating with all levels of membership and clients.

  • Exhibit qualities required in a service oriented culture: enthusiasm, patience, rapid response, professionalism and leadership.

  • Experience in product management or marketing (or equivalent) that includes content acquisition, product development and life cycle management.

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and a rapidly changing workplace.
