Responsibilities

• THE RESPONSIBILITIES :-
• To study global and local best practices and new initiatives in content creation.
• Active involvement in consumer research/market research/concept tests/other research methodology, including collaboration with Astro’s research department and research agencies.
• To apply research to develop relevant & impactful content ideas.
• To conceptualize and refine original content ideas in preparation for execution.
• Assist in identifying suitable business partners and talents to realize the execution of Content ideas.
• To oversee the Creative aspects of the content project: storyline, scripting, casting, production values.
• To support multimedia execution by collaborating with internal and external 360 partners.
• To support parties involved in marketing/promotional execution eg. Communication agencies, Customer Group marketing, as well as Astro-own media platforms in developing marketing/promotional initiatives.
• To actively monitor the execution of Content projects.
• To make continuous improvements to boost results.
• To make recommendations on next-steps.

• THE REQUIREMENTS :-
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in TV or media, aggregation and distribution, communications agencies or other related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or better qualification in Media/Communications/Scriptwriting or other related field.s
• Extensive knowledge of television industry.
• Prior work experience in creative aspects of Content such as scriptwriting, producing, directing is highly desirable.
• Established relationships with Content Creators/Talents.
• Experience of content creation in the digital space (eg. Youtube, UGC etc.).
• English and Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin language proficiency.
• Able to work independently to drive new initiatives.
• Skills in preparing concise, informative, and objective-driven presentations and reports – proficient MS Office skills.
• Experience working with multiple teams / business units.
• A basic understanding of satellite TV technology and processes.
• A basic understanding of digital technology and processes (mobile/internet).
